ITALIA DOUBLE ISLAND

Introduced in 1988, Italia Double Island marked the beginning of the collaboration between Arclinea and Antonio Citterio, who later became the Art Director and Designer of the entire Arclinea Collection. From its debut, Italia pioneered the integration of the aesthetics and technical solutions of professional kitchens into the home, introducing signature elements such as the distinctive integrated handle, stainless steel as the primary material, deeper worktops, double sinks, suspended hoods, and the iconic Double Island configuration. While remaining faithful to its original design philosophy, Italia has continuously evolved over the decades with advancements in technology, materials, and functionality.

Centred around its iconic Double Island layout, Italia creates a thoughtfully organised kitchen where food preparation, cooking and social interaction flow seamlessly together. The two Vintage Plus stainless steel islands are complemented by the Lignum et Lapis tall units, the Teca refrigerated wine unit and the Frame System built-in double door, creating a cohesive architectural composition that balances the performance of a professional kitchen with the comfort and elegance of contemporary living.
